Follow the Queen is a type of poker game that is starting to enjoy a surge in popularity. The game is a variation of seven card stud. When the players are playing Follow the Queen all of the players agree that the Queens are wild. The reason the game is called follow the Queen is because in addition to the queen being wild, so is the card that it dealt directly after the Queen card. This follow up card is called the trailer card. Sometimes a second Queen card will be dealt. When this happens the card that follows becomes wild and the original trailer card returns to the value that would have originally had if it had not been dealt as a trailer card. During a hand of Follow the Queen the only cards that can be wild are the Queen cards and one trailer card.
